Bighill highlight’s CFL’s weekly awards

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) – BC Lions linebacker Adam Bighill was named
CFL defensive player of the week for week 14 in the 2013 season as he helped
the Lions defeat the Winnipeg Blue Bombers 53-17.

Bighill recorded ten tackles, one sack, two forced fumbles with a fumble
returned for a touchdown. The linebacker, who earned his second weekly honor
this season, is fifth in the league in tackles with 67 and is tied for second
on the Lions with five sacks.

Toronto Argonaut running back Chad Kackert earned offensive player of the
week honors as he led Toronto over the Edmonton Eskimos 34-22. Kackert had
155 yards on 13 carries with touchdown runs of 49 and five yards.

Slotback Jabari Arthur of the Calgary Stampeders won the Canadian player of
the week with six catches, 103 yards and two touchdowns. The Montreal native
now has 34 receptions for 445 yards and three touchdowns the season.

The CFL special teams player of the week was awarded to kick returner Trent
Guy of the Argonauts. Guy returned four kicks for 131 yards to aid Toronto in
their victory. On the season, Guy has six returns for 173 yards and one
reception for ten yards.
