Durant highlights August’s best

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) – Saskatchewan Roughriders quarterback Darian
Durant and kicker Chris Milo were among four players selected as the CFL’s top
performers for the month of August.

Durant earned offensive honors while helping lead the Roughriders to a 3-1
record during the month. He completed 86-of-129 passes for 1,177 yards and
nine touchdowns while only throwing one interception. He leads the CFL in
touchdown passes (21).

Milo was named the best special teams player after connecting on all 11 of his
field goal attempts. He is a perfect 23-for-23 on the season and leads the CFL
in kicking percentage.

Montreal Alouettes linebackers Chip Cox and Marc-Olivier Brouillette
rounded out the best players of the month. Brouillette, the Canadian player of
the month, notched nine tackles and four sacks. The Montreal native also won
this award in Weeks 8 and 10.

Defensive honors were awarded to Cox, who had 32 tackles and one sack
while also contributing on special teams with three more tackles. The
linebacker is leading the CFL in tackles (71) and is on pace to set career-
highs in tackles, sacks and special team tackles.
