Wichita State uses strong second half to beat Western Kentucky

Wichita, KS (SportsNetwork.com) – Fred VanVleet had 17 points and four steals
as the 16th-ranked Wichita State Shockers beat the Western Kentucky
Hilltoppers by a 66-49 margin.

Kadeem Coleby tallied 13 points for the Shockers (2-0), who opened the season
with a 93-50 win over Emporia State on Saturday. Cleanthony Early added 11
points and nine rebounds.

T.J. Price and Aleksej Rostov each had 12 points for the Hilltoppers (0-1),
who went 20-16 and lost to Kansas in second round of the NCAA Tournament last
season.
