D-III RB sets NCAA rushing record

Worcester, MA (SportsNetwork.com) – Western Connecticut State University
running back Octavias McKoy set the NCAA single-game rushing record with 455
yards Saturday in a 55-35 win over Worcester State.

McKoy, a senior on the Division III Colonials, had 43 carries and scored five
touchdowns during the contest. He scored on runs of 15, one, 41, 53 and 71
yards.

The previous record was held by Dante Brown of Marietta College. He ran for
441 yards against Baldwin-Wallace on Oct. 5, 1996.
