Conway, SC (SportsNetwork.com) – Starting quarterback Alex Ross of unbeaten
Coastal Carolina will miss Saturday’s game against VMI because of a foot
injury.

Coastal offensive coordinator Dave Patenaude told the Sun News of Myrtle Beach
the injury is a “mild sprain.”

Ross has completed 64.8 percent of his passes for 1,571 yards, 13 touchdowns
and six interceptions this season.

Against VMI (1-6), the sixth-ranked Chanticleers are expected to start either
sophomore Michael Church, redshirt freshman Dalton Demos or graduate student
Brian Kass, the starter at Wofford last year, at quarterback.
