All round Watson delivers another Aussie win

Shane Watson led from the front again starring with both bat and ball in a clinical 9 wicket  win against India in the Super 8’s of the T20 cricket World Cup.

For a third successive match Watson was voted man of the match with performances that have put Australia as one of the favourites to lift the coveted trophy in Sri Lanka.

India struggled up front with the bat against the pace of the young Aussie quicks with Watson providing perfect back up with 3-34 keeping India to 140-7.

With the target set at 141, Watson and Warner went about their business in particularly brutal fashion posting their second century opening stand of the tournament with 133, Watson helping himself to 72 from 42 and Warner 63 from 41.

Australia 141 for 1 (Watson 72, Warner 63*) beat India 140 for 7 (Pathan 31, Watson 3-34) by 9 wickets

In today’s games defending Champs England are playing to stay in the tournament against Sri Lanka, while New Zealand who have impressed take on the Windies.
