Same result different day for England as George Bailey and Cameron White smashed Australia to an 8 wicket win with 31 balls to spare at the MCG.

The comprehensive thrashing gives the home team an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series and in the process ensured that they made a clean sweep of England by winning the Test series, ODI and T20 series, a summer to forget for England.

Batting first at the MCG the visitors managed only 130, Buttler top scoring with 22. In response Australia didn’t need to tap into their batting resources too much as White with 58  and Bailey in particularly brutal form scoring 60 off just 28 balls saw the Aussies home.

Australia 2 for 131 (Bailey 60*, White 58*) beat England 9 for 130 (Buttler 22, Hazlewood 4-30) by 8 wickets
