Hughes leads the way for Australia in opening win

Phil Hughes scored a debut ODI hundred for Australia as they thrashed Sri Lanka in the opening match of the series. Hughes scored an impressive 112 in Australia’s massive 305/5 and in the process became the first Aussie to score a hundred on debut in the 50 over format.

Clint McKay then routed the tourists for 198, taking 4/33 giving the home team a comprehensive 107 run win.
