Hussey signs off with a clean sweep

Michael Hussey, ” Mr. Cricket” signed off from international cricket with his 48th Test win in a 5 wicket victory over Sri Lanka at Sydney, a clean sweep of the series.

Chasing 141 for the win, Australia suffered a slight wobble, however Hussey steered them home alongside Mitchell Johnson finishing on 27 not out.

Hussey has been an outstanding servant to Australian and world cricket over the years. His debut however did come very late at the age of 30, simply because of the wealth of Australian talent available at the time. Hussey finished his distinguished test career with 6 235 runs at 51.52 with 19 hundreds.

Australia 9 for 432 dec and 5 for 141 (Cowan 36, Herath 3-45) beat Sri Lanka 294 and 278 (Karunaratne 85, Chandimal 62*, Jayawardene 60, Johnson 3-34, Bird 3-76) by 5 wickets
