Malinga bowls Sri Lanka to tight win

An inspired spell of death bowling by Lasith Malinga gave Sri Lanka a thrilling 12 run win against Pakistan in their Asia Cup opener in Fatullah.

Four times Asia Cup winners, Sri Lanka, set a decent total up front of 296/6 off their allotted 50 overs, Thirimanne (102) with his second one-day hundred providing the platform for the inform Sangakkara (66) and Angelo Mathews (55) to make valuable contributions towards the middle and the end of the Sri Lankan innings,.
