Captain Brendon McCullum led New Zealand to victory in typically aggressive fashion as the home team defeated England by 55 runs, squaring the T20 series with one to play.

McCullum plundered 74 of 38 balls in a brutal display, including 6 boundries and 5 sixes, to lead New Zealand to 192/6, Martin Guptill also weighing in with 47.

In reply only Jos Buttler provided any resistance with 54 as the England batting lineup struggled to deal with some aggressive bowling from the home team, Ian Butler returning 2-9 from four overs, while McClenaghan had 2-24. James Franklin mopped up the tail to finish with 4-15 off 3.3 overs.

The series decider will be in Wellington on Friday.

New Zealand 192 for 6 (B McCullum 74, Guptill 47, Rutherford 40) beat England 137 (J Buttler 54, Franklin 4-15) by 55 runs
