South Africa kick started their campaign in the T20 World Cup in confident fashion as they thrashed Zimbabwe by a comprehensive 10 wicket margin.

The Proteas won the toss and opted to bowl first, a decision that soon paid off as Steyn and Morkel proved a handful with plenty of pace and bounce. Kallis was more than an able foil as he cleaned up the middle order with a spell of 4-15.

It was simple formality for the opening pair of Amla and Levi as they knocked off the required 93 in just over 12 overs, Levi scoring a confident 50 in 43 balls.

It was a 14th  consecutive loss for the Zimbabweans and sets up the group stage match between Sri Lanka and South Africa nicely.
