South Africa delivered another series win over New Zealand winning the third and deciding T20 International by 33 runs in Port Elizabeth. Stand in skipper Faf du Plessis will be delighted with his first series win as captain and one that was soundly built on decisive contributions from Henry Davids who hit his second successive half-century and Aaron Phangiso took key wickets.

Davids struck 68 at St George’s Park in a South African total of 179 for six and Phangiso dismissed New Zealand’s big guns, Martin Guptill and captain Brendon McCullum, in successive overs, effectively ending the touring team’s challenge.

South Africa 179 for 6 (Davids 68, McClenaghan 2-24) beat New Zealand 146 for 9 (McCullum 25, McLaren 3-25, Phangiso 3-25) by 33 runs
