Twente edges closer to top with win over Go Ahead Eagles

Enschede, Netherlands (SportsNetwork.com) – Twente moved to within three
points of the top spot in the Eredivisie on Saturday following a 3-1 home
victory against Go Ahead Eagles.

Felipe Gutierrez netted his first goal of the campaign for Twente after 21
minutes, with Luc Castaignos doubling the lead in the 56th minute.

Job van der Linden pulled the visitors to within a goal when he scored from
the penalty spot only two minutes after the goal from Castaignos.

But Twente quickly restored its two-goal advantage through Dusan Tadic, who
found the net for the seventh time this season to secure the win in the 62nd
minute.

Last-place NEC came from two goals down in the opening 12 minutes to record
its third victory of the season, a 4-3 win over Roda with two goals from Soren
Rieks.

RKC Waalwijk moved out of the bottom three on Saturday by topping Den Haag,
2-1, behind a pair of goals from Kenny Anderson, moving RKC above Den Haag on
goal difference.
