Liverpool edge Swansea in 7 goal thriller
Daniel Sturridge and Jordan Henderson scored two goals apiece as Liverpool registered a 4-3 victory over Swansea City in a thrilling encounter at Anfield on Sunday.
The hosts took a two-goal lead in the opening 20 minutes before Swansea equalized with a pair of goals.
Sturridge scored his second of the match for the Reds shortly before halftime, but Wilfried Bony leveled the match once more from the penalty spot before Henderson struck the winner 16 minutes from time to keep Liverpool within four points of Premiership leaders Chelsea.
A second-half goal from Robert Snodgrass was enough to hand Norwich City three vital points at Carrow Road against Tottenham, moving the Canaries four points clear of the bottom three.
Earlier in the day, Newcastle’s poor run of form at home came to an end as Loic Remy scored in stoppage time to help the Magpies to a 1-0 win over Aston Villa at St James’ Park.
