Chelsea dent Arsenal title hopes

Chelsea delivered a crushing blow to Arsenal’s title hopes when they thrashed the Gunners 6-0 at Stamford Bridge in Arsene Wenger’s 1000th game in charge.

The win keeps Jose Mourinho’s team 4 points clear at the top of the table ahead of Liverpool who also registered an emphatic 6-3 win over Cardiff City, Luis Suarez scoring another hat-trick for the Reds.

Manchester City moved into third, 1 point clear of Arsenal after a 5-0 win over Fulham, while United and a Wayne Rooney wonder goal sealed the points in a 2-0 win over West Ham.

On Sunday, Christian Eriksen scored two goals and assisted on a third as Tottenham came from two goals down against Southampton to secure a 3-2 win at White Hart Lane to keep their hopes alive of Champions League football next season.
