City thrash Spurs, Chelsea held

Manchester City returned to the summit of the Premiership in emphatic style when they thrashed Spurs 5-1 at White Heart Lane.

Aguero, Dzeko, Jovetic, Kompany and Toure scored found the back of the net for City in a clinical performance that saw Pelegrini’s team with an 8th consecutive league match.

The result leaves Spurs in 5th place, 3 points behind Liverpool.

In other Premiership action, Aston Villa came away with a thrilling 4-3 win over West Brom, Sunderland climbed out of the relegation zone with a 1-0 win over 10 man Stoke City at the Stadium of Light and Chelsea failed to keep the heat on Manchester City after a goalless draw againts lowly West Ham at Stamford Bridge.
