London, England (SportsNetwork.com) – Midfielder Aaron Ramsey was the latest
injury casualty for Arsenal as he is expected to miss the next three weeks
due to a thigh problem.

The Welshman sustained the injury in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over West Ham on Boxing
Day, but he is not the only one on a growing injury list for manager Arsene
Wenger.

In addition to Ramsey, striker Olivier Giroud will miss out on Wednesday’s
match against Cardiff City because of an ankle injury, while midfielder Mesut
Ozil is sidelined by a shoulder problem.

Defender Kieran Gibbs suffered a calf strain in his last outing and will miss
out, while fellow defenders Nacho Monreal and Thomas Vermaelen are battling
illness.

The midfield could be even further depleted if both Tomas Rosicky (calf) and
Jack Wilshere (ankle) are unable to play, with winger Theo Walcott’s status
also in doubt because of a shoulder issue.

Arsenal enters the match as league leaders, one point clear of second-place
Manchester City.
