Formula 1 returns to Europe and 2BET2

Updated: May 12, 2012

Round 5 of the Formula 1 Championship is upon us this weekend in Barcelona and 2BET2 brings you the odds.

In what has proved an exciting season to date with 4 winners from 4 races and only 10 points separating the top 5 in the championship, its anybodies call who will come out on top of the podium this weekend.

Past results at the Circuit de Catalunya suggests that this is a track that Red Bull will perform on. Double world champion Sebastian Vettel came first in 2011 while team mate Mark Webber won in 2010. McLaren duo Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will be looking to change that after occupying the podium last year in 2nd and 3rd.

After a 3 week break most of the teams arrive with upgrades that are bound to improve the performances of their cars. Sauber Ferrari have been one of the surprise packages this year so far and in Perez and Kobayashi they have 2 drivers that are very much the future of Formula 1.

Kimi Raikkonen the 2008 world champion has enjoyed a successful return to Formula 1 and will be challenging for a podium place, especially considering he still holds the lap record at the circuit during his Ferrari days.

Don’t count out Mercedes and Schumacher finally adding to his tally of F1 wins.
