Wolfsburg threw away a golden
opportunity to claim three points on Sunday as the club was made to settle for
a 2-2 draw with Nurnberg at the Volkswagen Arena.

The home side enjoyed a two-goal advantage by halftime thanks to Diego’s
opener in the third minute and Ivica Olic’s supplemental strike in the 27th
minute.

But Nurnberg answered on the other side of halftime with two goals in the span
of five minutes.

Timmy Simons cut the deficit in half just after the hour mark before Per
Nilsson equalized to see the two sides split the points.

Nurnberg improves to 35 points on the season, three points better than
Wolfsburg.

Eintracht 3, Greuther Furth 2

Furth, Germany – Eintracht moved up to fifth place in the Bundesliga table
with a 3-2 win over last-place Greuther Furth on Sunday.

Nikola Djurdjic’s opener put Greuther Furth in the lead, but Eintracht stormed
back thanks to goals from Takashi Inui, Stefan Aigner and Alexander Meier.
Sercan Sararer pulled one back, but it was not enough to spark a comeback and
lift Greuther Furth closer to safety.

Furth remains at the foot of the table with 15 points while Eintracht climbs
to 42 points.
