D day as 39th Ryder Cup set to begin

All the courtesy and smiles have now stopped, as the 39th Ryder Cup begins with much anticipation today at Medinah CC, Illinois.

Its a tough one to call this year considering the form of players from both sides of the Atlantic. Will the US have home advantage despite the fact the most of the European players ply their trade in the States? Will the fact that the Europeans tend to gel better has a team play into their hands? Will the fact that Europe have triumphed eight times in the last 13 Ryder Cups and regained the trophy with a nail-biting victory by 14-½ points to 13-½ two years ago give them and edge?

All these questions will be answered come Sunday evening of what will surely be a real weekend spectacle of quality golf, team spirit and passion.

The captains have announced their opening foursomes, with the Northern Irish contingent of Graeme McDowell and Rory McIlroy leading the way in a clear statement that Olazabel is looking to secure some early points.

I can feel the excitement building as it all begins in barely a few hours. Get your bets in on 2BET2, and enjoy the weekend action.
