Ronaldo breaks record, Brazil and England win

Cristiano Ronaldo became Portugal’s all time leading scorer, Neymar helped himself to a hat-trick while England, Spain and Germany all registered wins on a night of international friendlies.

Ronaldo continued his prolific scoring when he bagged a brace in a 5-1 rout of a poor Cameroon. Ronaldo took his international tally to 49, two ahead of previous record holder Pauleta as Portugal made light work of the former World Cup finalists Cameroon.

Neymar led a 5-0 thrashing of South Africa with a hat-trick as he increased his tally to 30 goals in 47 games for Brazil.

Roy Hodgson was satisfied as his young England team beat Denmark 1-0, Sturridge with the winner while Liverpool team mate Raheem Sterling impressing on his debut.

Diego Costa made his debut for Spain however a goal from the Barcelona’s Pedro proved the difference in a 1-0 win over Italy.

In other action, Mario Goetze scored the only goal for Germany in a 1-0 win over Chile, Karim Benzema continued his impressive form by inspiring France tto a 2-0 win over the Netherlands while Belgium and Ivory Coast played out an exciting 2-2 draw.
