Gervinho celebrates scoring for Roma in their 2-0 Serie A win at Sampdoria on 25 September.

Ivorian striker Gervinho continued his rich scoring vein with a brace of goals lifting Roma to a thrilling 3-2 victory over Napoli in their first leg semifinal of the Coppa Italia.

It was Roma’s 6th straight win in all competitions however despite the defeat 2 away goals by Napoli could make the return leg next week interesting.

Totti provided a sublime ball for Gervinho to give Roma the lead which was followed up by a Strootman who gave the hosts a 2 goal advantage.

Belgium International Mertens fought back with a brace for Napoli setting up a grandstand finish with Gervinho delivering the winner sparking wild celebrations by the home crowd.
