Inter Milan midfielder Esteban Cambiasso has
been handed a one-match suspension for his late challenge on Sebastian
Giovinco in Inter’s 2-1 defeat against Juventus on Saturday.

Cambiasso was sent off in the closing moments of the match after a terrible
challenge on Giovinco, resulting in the first red card of the Argentina
international’s career.

But despite the ugly nature of the challenge, the Lega Calcio has confirmed
that Cambiasso will only serve a one-match ban, which will rule him out of
Wednesday’s clash at Sampdoria.

The 32-year-old has appeared in 27 of Inter’s 30 Serie A games this campaign.
