Bergamo, Italy (SportsNetwork.com) – Juventus ran its winning streak in
league play to nine consecutive matches on Sunday after overwhelming Atalanta
by a 4-1 score at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.

The defending Serie A champions got started quickly on Sunday as Carlos Tevez
found the back of the net just six minutes into the contest. But the lead was
erased when Maximiliano Moralez fired home an equalizer for Atalanta in the
15th minute.

The clubs went into the break level, but it was all Juve in the second half.
Paul Pogba gave the visitors the lead just one minute into the second 45
minutes and Fernando Llorente made it 3-1 15 minutes from time.

Arturo Vidal finished the rout with a goal 11 minutes from time as Juventus
maintained its five-point lead over second-place AS Roma at the top of Serie
A. Atalanta, meanwhile, stays in 15th place with 18 points, four clear of the
bottom three.

Also in Serie A on Sunday, Rodrigo Palacio’s goal four minutes of time proved
to be the difference as Inter Milan claimed a 1-0 victory over AC Milan at the
San Siro.

Scoring chances were hard to come by for the majority of the match, but the
breakthrough came for the blue half of Milan when Fredy Guarin got free on the
right wing and sent a low cross into the box that was turned home with a deft
back heel by Palacio.

AC Milan pushed numbers forward sensing they could have one final chance on
goal, but it never came and tempers boiled over in stoppage time as Sulley
Muntari was sent off.

The result sees Inter climb to fifth place in Serie A on 31 points, while AC
Milan falls to 13th place with 19 points.

Roma ran out easy 4-0 winners over Catania at the Stadio Olimpico. Mehdi
Benatia opened the scoring in the 18th minute and Mattia Destro made it 2-0 in
the 55th minute. Benatia finished his brace four minutes later and Gervinho
capped the rout with a goal 10 minutes from time.

Alessandro Diamanti’s 57th-minute goal was the difference as Bolgona earned a
1-0 win over Genoa, while Luca Toni bagged a brace to go with goals from Juan
Manuel Iturbe and Romulo in a 4-1 win for Hellas Verona over Lazio.

Citadin Eder and Alessandro Lucarelli exchanged goals as Sampdoria and Parma
battled to a 1-1 draw, while Giuseppe Rossi’s league-leading 15th goal of the
season was enough to hand Fiorentina a 1-0 result over Sassuolo.

Finally on Sunday, Ciro Immobile score on either side of halftime as Torino
ran out 4-1 winners over Chievo at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.
