Napoli keep Champions League hopes alive

Napoli consolidated third place and a Champions League spot when they eased to a 4-2 victory over Catania at the Stadio Angelo Massimino.

Duvan Zapata scored a brace for Rafa Benitez’s team tightening their grip on third place, 10 points clear of Fiorentina.

In other Serie A action, Giuseppe De Luca and German Denis both found the back of the net to hand Atalanta a 2-0 win over Livorno, while Cagliari took the 3 points with a 1-0 win over Hellas Verona.

Alberto Paloschi netted a brace to lead Chievo to a 3-0 rout of Bologna, while Philippe Mexes and Mario Balotelli scored for AC Milan in a 2-0 result against Fiorentina.

Alberto Gilardino and Ioannis Fetfatzidis scored second-half goals to see Genoa past Lazio, 2-0, while Juventu sedged closer to its third consecutive league title after Carlos Tevez scored twice to give the Old Lady a 2-1 win over Parma in Turin.

In the final Serie A fixture, Gianluca Sansone scored in the first minute of play and Stefano Okaka Chuka added a second goal in a 2-1 win for Sampdoria over Sassuolo
