Djokovic and Isner to face-off, Radwanska beats Halep
Novak Djokovic will take on John Isner in the semifinals at Indian Wells while Agnieszka Radwanska booked her place in the final following a convincing win over Simona Halep.
Novak Djokovic, aiming for a third title at Indian Wells, had few problems accounting for Julien Benneteau, brushing aside the Frenchman in straight sets, 6/1, 6/3.
The Serbian will now face local favourite John Isner, in a repeat of their 2012 semifinal clash won by the American.
Isner advanced following a 7/6, 7/6 win over Marseille winner Ernests Gulbis and will look for a repeat result against Djokovic and a second final appearance at Indian Wells.
Roger Federer will take on Alexandr Dolgopolov in the other semifinal.
In the ladies draw, Agnieszka Radwanska advanced to her first final of 2014 when she upended the inform Simona Halep 6/3, 6/4. It was sweet revenge for the Pole who lost to Halep in the semifinals of Doha earlier in the year.
Radwanska will take in Flavia Pennetta for the title after the Italian stunned Li Na 7/6, 6/3. Na, attempting to win her 3rd title in 4 starts this season, made too many mistakes which Pennetta cashed in on in a superb performance.
The pair have met on 6 previous occasions with Radwanska winning 4 and Pennetta 2.
Pennetta will be searching for a 10th WTA title while Radwanska is hoping for a 14th.
