Rafa Nadal and David Ferrer remain on track for a final meeting at the Rio Open when both Spaniards won their quarterfinals on Friday.

Nadal demolished Joao Sousa surrendering only 1 game in a 6/1, 6/0 display while his semifinal opponent Spaniard Pablo Andujar was in equally devastating form accounting for Tommy Robredo 6/1, 6/1 in an all Spanish affair.

Last weeks Buenos Aires winner David Ferrer had it a little tougher against Tomaz Bellucci when he was taken to 3 sets in a 4/6, 6/3, 6/3 win.

Ferrer will take on Ukrainian Alexadr Dolgolopov who stunned last weeks runner up and number 3 seed Fabio Fognini 6/1, 6/1.
