Nishikori retires, Isner and Cilic through at Delray

Kei Nishikori was forced to withdraw while big serving John Isner and Marin Cilic both advanced to the quarterfinals of the Delray Beach Open in Florida.

Nishikoi, winner last weeks in Memphis, was forced to withdraw against Teymuraz Gabashvili in the first set citing an injury to his left side probably brought on by the workload the Japanese superstar has undertaken over the last 2 weeks.

Number 2 seed John Isner had to dig deep against Dudi Sela dropping the first set before rallying to a 3 set win 3/6, 6/1, 7/6 while Marin Cilic who has been in sparkling form over the last 2 weeks winning his fourth Zagreb title and reaching the final in Rotterdam, eased to a 6/3, 6/4 win over American Ryan Harrison.

Marcos Baghdatis was another high profile casualty of wild card entrant Rhyne Williams, losing in 3 sets 6/7, 6/4, 6/2.
