A pair of second-half goals from Raul
Jimenez led America to a 2-0 win over 10-man Guadalajara, keeping the club
within four points of the league lead.

Guadalajara was reduced to 10 men in the 36th minute when Sergio Perez was
sent off, and Jimenez took advantage by notching his sixth goal of the season
shortly after halftime.

The forward then put the result out of reach 15 minutes from time with his
second goal of the contest, snapping a nine-game unbeaten streak for
Guadalajara.

Tigres maintained its unbeaten start to the season with a 2-1 victory at
Puebla thanks to an 87th-minute goal from Alan Pulido, leaving Tigres two
points clear of second-place Atlas, which used a 55th-minute tally from
Vicente Vuoso to beat Cruz Azul, 2-1.

Defending champions Tijuana slipped further down the table after a 1-0 defeat
at Toluca as Wilson Mathias scored in the seventh minute and Fidel Tenorio was
sent off for Tijuana 10 minutes later.

Monterrey scored three goals in the final 10 minutes of a 3-0 win over UNAM,
Carlos Ochoa scored twice as Morelia coasted to a 4-0 victory over Atlante,
Santos had to settle for a 1-1 draw against Queretaro after Felipe Baloy
scored an own goal in stoppage time, San Luis downed Jaguares, 3-0, and Leon
played out a 0-0 draw with Pachuca in a match that saw three red cards.
