A’s activate Reddick

Updated: September 10, 2013

Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) – The Oakland Athletics reinstated outfielder
Josh Reddick from the 15-day disabled list prior to Tuesday’s game against the
Minnesota Twins.

Reddick has been sidelined since Aug. 26 with a sprained right wrist and
previously spent more than three weeks on the DL in May with the same problem.

The injuries could explain Reddick’s down 2013 season, during which the 26-
year-old has hit just .213 with 10 home runs and 46 RBI over 97 games. Five of
those homers came in a two-game span at Toronto from Aug. 9-10.

Reddick set career bests of 32 homers and 85 RBI while batting .242 last
season, his first with the A’s after coming over in a trade with Boston. He
also won a Gold Glove for his work in right field in helping Oakland to a
surprise AL West title in 2012.
