Beltran, Cardinals top Dodgers in 13 innings to take 1-0 lead in NLCS

St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) – Carlos Beltran’s walk-off hit in the 13th
inning gave the St. Louis Cardinals a 3-2 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers in
Game 1 of the National League Championship Series on Friday.

Beltran knocked in all three St. Louis runs and threw a runner out at home
plate in the 10th inning.

Game 2 of the best-of-seven series is Saturday afternoon in St. Louis. Rookie
Michael Wacha, who took a no-hitter into the eighth inning against the Pirates
in the NLDS, will start for the Cardinals against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.
