Spain’s Dani Pedrosa continued his good form on day 2 of preseason testing in Malaysia by topping the times for a second day running.

Pedrosa completed day 2 with a fastest lap of 2 minutes 00.549 seconds, while reigning double champion Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha was 0.019 seconds slower, and Honda’s star rookie Marc Marquez was 0.254 seconds off the pace. Italy’s nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi, who is back with Yamaha after two dismal seasons with Italian team Ducati, again ended the day fourth, 0.489 seconds behind Pedrosa.

New comer and 2012 Moto 2 world champion, Marquez continued to impress on a Honda, early form suggesting he will be a more than capable replacement for the retired double world champion Casey Stoner.

Honda team mate and 3 times runner up in the championship, Pedrosa, continues to make a preseason impression as he seeks his first title.
