Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – Brooklyn Nets forward Paul Pierce was
fined $15,000 for his flagrant foul on Indiana’s George Hill.
Pierce was ejected in the third quarter of the Nets’ 103-86 loss on Monday for
a flagrant 2 foul.
Hill picked off a bad pass and raced down the court for a layup, but was
clotheslined by Pierce on the play.
After a review, referees ruled it a fagrant 2, which carries an automatic
ejection. The NBA said Tuesday that Piece made “excessive and unnecessary
contact.”
