Thompson, Warriors top Kings

Oakland, CA ( – Klay Thompson had 27 points and seven
rebounds and the Golden State Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings 98-87 on

Stephen Curry added 22 points and 12 assists, although he turned the ball over
seven times. David Lee chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds for the Warriors,
who were coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.

Curry had 11 giveaways against the Clippers.

Rookie Ben McLemore netted 19 points off the bench to lead Sacramento, which
had won three of its prior four meetings against Golden State coming in.
Travis Outlaw tallied 15 points and 12 boards in defeat.

Thompson had six points during a 14-4 Golden State run over the latter stages
of the first quarter, which helped it build a 27-14 cushion.

McLemore beat the first-quarter buzzer when he banked home a shot from beyond
halfcourt to cut the gap to 27-17.

Thompson capped a 13-2 spurt late in the second with a pull-up 3 to stake the
Warriors a healthy 49-28 cushion. Golden State headed into the locker room
with a 56-36 advantage.

The Warriors led by as many as 27 in the third before taking a 79-59 spread
into the fourth.

Game Notes

Golden State shot 51.3 percent (39-of-76), while Sacramento was just 34.5
