Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) – Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blaine
Gabbert is listed as questionable for Sunday’s season opener against Kansas
City.

Gabbert is dealing with a thumb injury that kept him out the final two weeks
of the preseason. The Missouri product took most of the repetitions in
practice Friday after practicing on a limited basis Wednesday and Thursday.

The 23-year-old Gabbert started 10 games last year for the Jaguars and
completed 162-of-278 passes for 1,662 yards, nine touchdowns and six
interceptions.

If Gabbert can’t go Sunday, Chad Henne will get the start.

Tight end Marcedes Lewis was ruled out after missing practice for a second
consecutive day. He aggravated a calf injury on Wednesday that kept him
out of three preseason games. Allen Reisner likely will start in place of
Lewis.
