Landover, MD (SportsNetwork.com) – Washington Redskins running back Evan
Royster left Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs with what was later
diagnosed to be a high ankle sprain.

The Redskins had initially ruled Royster questionable to return with a left
knee injury, but later deemed him out for the remainder of the contest.

Royster was making a run after catching a pass on 3rd-and-19 in his own
territory early in the second quarter, but his knee and leg rotated awkwardly
as he fell to the turf.

He was escorted from the field while placing no weight on the left knee, then
was taken to the locker room for evaluation.
