Report: Seahawks’ Browner faces another suspension

Updated: November 25, 2013

( – Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner has
reportedly violated the league’s substance-abuse policy and is facing a one-
year suspension.

The report from on Monday came less than a year after Browner was
suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s policy against performance-
enhancing substances.

Browner served that ban and returned for last season’s playoffs, but,
citing union sources, reports the Oregon State product is facing a one-year
suspension this time around.

On Sunday, it was reported another Seahawks cornerback, Walter Thurmond, would
begin serving a four-game suspension for violating the drug policy.

Browner, whose contract expires at the end of the season, sat out Seattle’s
last game and was expected to miss a significant amount of time due to a groin
injury. He has one interception and 19 tackles in eight games this season.
