Phillip Rivers lead San Diego to their fourth win of the season against Kansas City 31-13, overturning a 3 match losing run. Kansas have now lost 5 straight games and find themselves struggling to get off the bottom of the AFC West, with a deteriorating record of 1-7.

Rivers was in top form for the home team as he registered the 5th best pass completion percentage in the history of the NFL, completing 18 from 20 for 220 yards and 2 touchdowns. Antonio Gates got things going for the Chargers, scoring on the opening drive, while Demorrio Williams finished off the rout with a 59 yard interception run.

Jamaal Charles was forced to leave the field following a neck injury, not good news for Kansas, as Charles has been their star player so far this season.
