Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) – The Carolina Hurricanes activated forward
Tuomo Ruutu from injured reserve, in time for Sunday’s home game against the
Phoenix Coyotes.

Ruutu has missed the team’s first five contests due to a lower body injury. He
missed most of last season due to a hip problem and had four goals and five
assists in 17 contests.

A former first-round pick of Chicago in 2001, Ruutu is starting his seventh
season with the Hurricanes.
