Skinner scores twice as Hurricanes top Capitals

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – Jeff Skinner had two goals and an assist
in the Carolina Hurricanes’ 4-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on
Tuesday.

Andrej Sekera and Jiri Tlusty had one goal apiece for the Hurricanes, who
snapped a two-game skid. Justin Peters stopped 26-of-27 shots.

Mike Green scored the lone goal for the Capitals, who had a two-game winning
streak halted.

Braden Holtby turned aside 19-of-23 shots over two periods. Philipp Grubauer
made nine saves in the third frame.
