Slow start costs Laviolette in Philly

Philadelphia, PA ( – The Philadelphia Flyers have scheduled
a Monday morning news conference, at which time it is expected that the club
will announce a coaching change after three losses to start the season.

According to the Philadelphia Daily News, Peter Laviolette has been fired and
will be replaced by Craig Berube.

The Flyers have scored just once in each of their three losses, including
Sunday’s 2-1 setback to Carolina.
