Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) – Charlie Coyle’s tally in the fourth round
of the shootout sent Minnesota past Winnipeg, 3-2, on Saturday afternoon at
MTS Centre.

After Niklas Backstrom turned away Devin Setoguchi, Coyle snaked his way
through the zone and managed to pull Ondrej Pavelec to the left post while he
slid the puck inside the far pipe to end the contest.

Nino Niederreiter and Zach Parise scored for the Wild, who improved to 9-1-1
in November.

Backstrom stopped 37 shots in regulation and three of four in the breakaway
round.

Michal Frolik and Matt Halischuk provided offense for the Jets, who have gone
winless in their last four (0-2-2) but dropped a pair of shootouts in that
span.

Pavelec finished with 33 stops in the loss.
