Barcelona, AC Milan, PSG, Schalke and Dortmund all registered wins throughout the European leagues on an action packed day of football.
In France, PSG surged 3 points clear compliments again to 74th min goal by Ibrahimovic, his 10th of the season, in a 1-0 win away to Nancy.

In the Bundesliga, Schalke followed up their midweek win over Arsenal in the Champions League, with a 1-0 win at home over Nurnburg, moving them into second only 4 points behind Bayern who play today. Champions Dortmund also full of confidence following their win over Real Madrid, registered an away win over Freiburg 2-0 in very cold conditions. They now move into 4th place but still 9 points behind the leaders.
In Italy, AC Milan finally eased the pressure slightly on Allegri with a 1-0 win over Genoa, Stephan El Shaarawy with the 77th minute winner on his 20th birthday. The performance was still very poor from the Milan giants, and represents their mid table position of only 10 points from 9 games including 5 losses, not the sort of statistics one would associate with AC. With most of the remaining weekend fixtures taking place today, AC could find themselves further down the table by the end of the day.
In La Liga, Barcelona kept their unbeaten start going with 8 wins from 9 in a demolition job over Rayo Vallecano, in Madrid. Messi again led the way with another brace of goals, the 12th and 13th of his League season, and the 301st of his career. At just 25 years old, one wonders were this tally might just finish up come the end of his career! Xavi, Villa and Fabregas finished off the 5-0 rout for Barca, moving them 3 points clear at the top, however Athletico Madrid have a chance to claw that back today.
