AS Roma forward Pablo Osvaldo scored a brilliant goal but was later sent off in his side’s 3-1 win at Inter Milan on Sunday as Antonio Cassano scored for the first time since joining Inter.

Champions Juventus thumped Udinese 4-1 away,  Napoli beat Fiorentina 2-1 and Cagliari drew 1-1 with Atalanta behind closed doors because their new venue for this season was not considered ready by local authorities.

In Germany, Bayern Munich left more than 50 million euros ($63 million) worth of new signings on the bench but still managed to destroy shoddy VfB Stuttgart 6-1 in an embarrassingly one-sided Bundesliga contest.

In France, Paris Saint-Germain registered their first win of the new Ligue 1 season as a first-half double from Zlatan Ibrahimovic helped the capital club to a 2-1 triumph at Lille.

PSG are six points adrift of leaders Marseille, however, after their perfect start to the campaign continued thanks to a 3-1 home victory against Rennes at the Stade Velodrome.

Earlier on Sunday, Bordeaux continued their unbeaten start but had to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw with Nice at the Stade Chaban-Delmas.
