Knicks continue unbeaten start, Lakers derailed again

The New York Knicks continued their perfect start to the season, the Lakers momentum was derailed again, Brooklyn stretched their winning run to 3, Washington still remain winless, while Toronto and Portland also came out on top on Tuesday night NBA action.

In Florida, the Knicks continue to surprise as they remain the only unbeaten team in the NBA, moving to 5-0 for the first time since the 1993-1994 season, with a 99-89 win over Orlando. Carmelo Anthony produced the goods again for New York, leading the way with 25 points. Raymond Felton and J.R. Smith also contributed with 21 apiece for the Knicks, withTyson Chandler also getting in on the act with 12 points and six rebounds.The Knicks will next put their unblemished mark to the test on Thursday, when they face the San Antonio Spurs.

San Antonio derailed the Lakers revival, moving to 7-1, following a 84-82 win at the Staples Center. In a tight game, Tony Parker proved the difference as he contributed with 19 points.

Portland got back to winning ways inflicting a third consecutive loss on Sacramento in a 103-87 thrashing, Lillard top scoring with 22 points. Despite the win Portland remain bottom of the Northwest.

Ramon Sessions netted a game-high 21 points and pulled down five rebounds as the Charlotte Bobcats downed the Washington Wizards, 92-76. Washington must be wondering where their first win of the season is coming from as they remain rooted to the bottom of the Southeast division without a win in 6.

Toronto won their second game of the season when they stunned Indiana, 74-72, while Brooklyn kept the heat on New York in the Atlantic Division, with a 114-101 win over Cleveland, Deron Williams with 26 points for the Nets, and Varejao with a career high 35 for the Cavs.

Tonight’s action sees Philadelphia host the winless Pistons, Utah are at Boston, a win for either will make it 3 straight, Indiana look to put their loss to Toronto behind them when they take on top of the table Milwaukee in a Central Division clash and New Orleans and Houston are involved in a Southwest Division match up.

Memphis travel to Oklahoma, both teams are on a hot streak with 5 consecutive wins, Charlotte look to make it 3 from 3 at Minnesota, Struggling Washington go in search of their first win in Dallas, the Bulls and Phoenix face off looking for momentum, while Atlanta take on Golden State.
