Lakers get first win, Knicks remain unbeaten

Dwight Howard finally delivered the Lakers their first win, New York and Orlando remain unbeaten, while Atlanta and Toronto also registered wins on Sunday nights NBA match ups.

The collection of superstars at the Lakers finally delivered some cheer to the home fans in the Stapels Center, with a 108-79 thrashing of the Pistons, their first win of the season. Dwight Howard was on fire with 28 points and 7 rebounds, powering the Lakers to a 28 point lead at half time. The winning result will come with much relief following their worst start to a season in 34 years, after dropping games to Dallas, Portland and the Clippers.
