Henley, Langley share Sony Open lead

PGA Tour rookies Russell Henley and Scott Langley finished Saturday’s third round tied atop the leaderboard at the Sony Open in Hawaii.

Henley carded a bogey-free, 3-under 67 in round three, while Langley posted a
5-under 65 Saturday.

The duo ended 54 holes at 17-under-par 193. Their total set a new 54-hole
tournament scoring record, bettering the mark of 194, which John Huston set in
1998 and Brad Faxon matched in 2001. Henley and Langley will play together on
Sunday for the fourth straight round.

Tim Clark posted his second straight 66 to end three rounds at minus-14.

Charles Howell III, a two-time runner-up at this event, shot 67 to match Scott
Gardiner (65) in fourth at 13-under-par 197 at Waialae Country Club.

Pat Perez (67), Matt Jones (64), Danny Lee (66) and Chris Kirk (68) are tied
for sixth place at minus-12.
