Ulster continued their unbeaten start in all competitions this season with victory over Glasgow, while Castres repeated their feat of last season, with another win over Northampton, as week 2 of the Heineken Cup kicked off last night.

Last years Heineken Cup finalists Ulster, remain unbeaten in all competitions this season following a Chris Henry inspired second half performance against Glasgow. The Warriors surrendered a 15 point lead last week to the Saints, and now have 2 defeats from 2 in Europe’s premier club rugby competition. The final score of 19-8 in favour of Ulster represents the second time they have come out on top this season against Glasgow, following their win in the opening week of the Rabo Direct Pro 12.

In the nights other game, Aviva log leaders, Northampton, couldn’t repeat their comeback performance of last week, as they went down 21-16 to Castres. The French were hammered last week by Ulster and made 11 changes to the starting line up, coupled with home advantage, a much more confident performance against the Saints eventually giving them the much needed win.
