The NFL regular season has begun with the Giants going down to the Cowboys 24 -17, Romo proving the main stay for the Dallas outfit. Not the start the defending champions would have wanted, however with the way preseason went, its tough to pick who will come out on top in each division. Some of the answers will be revealed on Sunday as the rest of the first round matches takes place stateside.

2BET2 also brings you all the rugby action from the French Top 14 and the Aviva Premiership.
Last week defending champions Harlequins were taken to the wire by Wasps in a high scoring affair at Twickenham, eventually coming out on top 42-40. Tonight they take on Premiership new comers London Welsh in a game that shouldn’t provide to much of a problem for Quins.
On Saturday Saracens make the trip to Sale. This could be an exciting prospect as Danny Cipriani will face off against his main challenge for the no. 10 jersey for England in the shape of Owen Farrell. Chris Ashton enjoyed a spectacular debut last week with a brace of tries, more of the same will be expected this week by the England winger.

Its the business end of the last Slam of the year from Flushing Medows. For the first time since 2003, 5 times champion Roger Federer will not feature as he suffered a 4 set loss to Tomas Berdych in the quarterfinals. Berdych will take on Andy Murray who fought back from a set down to defeat Marin Cillic. Former junior champion and runner up to Federer in 2008 Murray has enjoyed improved success in all aspects of his game since Ivan Lendl joined the team, however Berdych has a 4-2 record against the Scot and will come into the match with plenty of confidence following his stunning win over the Swiss great.

Novak Djokovic edged out Juan Martin del Potro in the battle of the past champions. Despite the match only going only 3 sets it was much closer than the scoreline suggests. Djokovic will face Spaniard David Ferrer who overcame Tipsarevec in a marathon 5 set thriller. Its a mountain to climb for Ferrer however a bad day at the office for the defending champion will be picked up by his opponent.

Serena Williams, 14 times Slam Champion and 3 times winner at the US Open, takes on unheralded Sarah Errani, the French Open runner up. It would be a major upset if the Italian was to reach her second Slam final of the year, especially considering the form of Williams for the second part of the year which included her stunning Wimbledon win.

In the battle of the grunters, Maria Sharapova, winner at Flushing Medows in 2006 will need to overcome the stiff challenge of world no. 1 Victoria Azarenka in a repeat of the Australian Open final. Azarenka has stepped up a level in 2012 however Sharapova on her day is capable of beating anyone. This is an intriguing battle and tough to call.

Cricket fans T20 Internationals are also on the agenda this weekend as England continue against South Africa as their home Summer draws to a close. A win for the Proteas in the Test series, a 2-2 draw in the 50 over format sets up the 20 series perfectly. The world Cup is not far off so the timing of this series is key. Pakistan at home in The Emirates have a 1-0 lead over the Aussies while New Zealand are on tour in India and will be looking to erase the Test loss from their mind.

All this sporting action and plenty more coming your way this weekend on 2BET2.
